What type of wipes/cleaners/etc. does your center use to disinfect nap mats?
Clorox wipes and Lysol wipes are not allowed to be used in our centers...is this correct?
Can bleach water be used to sanitize nap mats?
Should we just use Seventh Generation on everything and get rid of the other stuff?
Just trying to make sure I'm doing this correctly!
Title 22 101239.1 b4 says mats shall be wiped with a detergent/disinfectant weekly or when soiled or wet.
We used PupPuretergent to clean and Clorox anywhere bleach to disinfect mats. We used PupPuretergent to clean tables followed by Purell food surface sanitizer for tables.
Jennifer, you know me and know I like to go rogue a wee bit...I'm not sure of the rule here. Because we have an outside sink right outside our nap room, and can connect a short hose to the spigot, we take the cot outside, spray it with a bleach and water mixture, let sit for a few minutes and then take the hose to it. Of course we do this after the children have gone home for the day or while they are still in nap. We leave the cot outside oer night to air dry and bring it back in the next morning.
