Good morning, when it comes to tuition increases do you provide a new tuition contract? May I see what some of you provide the parents. Do you email it to them, mail it to their home, hand it to them?
Dear Marsha, 101219 in Title 22 requires giving 30 day written notice for any rate change (Manual of Policies and Procedures (ca.gov)) My schools were always a traditional school year plus a summer program. Parents received new tuition agreements in January to sign up for the next school year with the new rates and summer sign ups in March. We also had sign ups for Easter/Christmas/Thanksgiving camps with separate agreements. We put them in the child's folder to go home, emailed them, sent them out in our newsletter as a link, put them on the online enrollment form, and put them on the website. I would also follow up with families if we didn't receive them back because I was not reserving their spot for the next year or the summer without the signed agreement. I always put a cover letter with them. I'll send you samples via email.
We re-enroll every year and that is when tuition increases are distributed, with the re-enrollent forms. This is also the time of year that we inform of the increases that will go into effect with the new school year. Our re-enrollmemnt materials are sent home on paper, but we might be changing that to be electronically next year.
