Happy New Year Everyone! Currently, we are using a mix of curriculum but I'm hoping to stream line it a little bit. What bible curriculum does your school use and what made you choose it?
At Christ Brea, we use a mix of several curriculum. We used to use One in Christ A and B for our Preschool/Pre-K & TK kids, but when our K-8 adopted our TK students over to their side, they took the "B" curriculum with them. What I didn't like was the lack of core stories for Preschoolers not being covered during the school year (sometimes in the summer packets), like Jonah, Daniel, etc. So we have made up our own schedule each year, based on the holidays, calendar and incorporate One in Christ, Little Lambs One and Two, The Story (church bought this curriculum when the entire church & school spent 9 months going through it together), and things from many publications over the years. Its nothing written down, as I adjust it each year, but it is always my goal each week to share each story with the kiddos 5 days a week in a different way. This includes chapel on Wednesdays...whoever is leading our chapels (Pastors or DCE) will tailor their message to our weekly Bible story as well as the music director will pick out songs that relate.
