GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES
"This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to your offspring." Deuteronomy 34:4a

This week my Bible Study group wrapped up its journey from the "Red Sea to the Promised Land", studying the Bible events of the Exodus. As each year's study concludes, we, as class members, are asked to reflect on what we have learned in preparation for Sharing Day, a time of worship, celebration and fellowship, which will be done virtually next week.
As I reviewed the weekly lessons yesterday afternoon, I was again amazed at the faithfulness of God! God had been so very clear to the nation of Israel of His expectations for their lives and gave them the promises of His Presence, His Provision and His Protection. However, repeatedly, they failed to remember His Words and responded with a lack of faith and willful disobedience.
Sound familiar? We, too, often forget that the promises He made to His chosen people are promises He gives to us as well! He says to you and to me:
"I am with you always." Matthew 28:20
"I will never leave you nor forsake you." Joshua 1:5
"Call upon Me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you..." Psalm 50:15
In this time of uncertainty, where we have more questions than answers, I encourage you to take time each day to focus on the promises of God! He is the only 'constant' in these times of unprecedented changes. Hold fast to Him! Trust Him! He is FAITHFUL! Amen!
