Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 These are the words of Jesus -- his invitation to place all of our troubles, our burdens and worries on Him. There are certainly many people who have troubles and worries right now, especially if they have no job and no paycheck, or their business may never reopen, or they or someone in their family is sick with COVID-19. Jesus is not just speaking about the troubles and worries of a difficult time in life, but He's also speaking about our sins and our need for repentance. We want to be yoked with Jesus and He will give us the best rest we could ever hope for, the forgiveness of our sins and life eternal with Him forever. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29 Dear Heavenly Father, Many people are struggling at this time, and they may not be able to see the way out of their problems or who You are. Give them strength to face the days ahead and help them to look to You in their lives, and to know what Jesus has done for their eternal future. Amen.
