DESERT BEAUTY Last Wednesday, on one of my afternoon walks, my eyes were drawn to the beauty of this flower. This cactus is called a Night Blooming Cereus Cactus. It blooms only once a year and the flowers last only a few days. I could not resist snapping a picture. On Friday, I received an email from a friend with a photo of the same flower from her backyard. With the email, she included what she called a "GOD WINK", an example of God's Presence - and blessing - in nature. This Sunday begins the final week of the Lenten season. As we walk with Jesus from the Triumphal Entry, to the Last Supper, to the Garden, to the cross, and to the EMPTY TOMB, may your eyes be open to God's Presence surrounding you with His love!

"GOD WINK" The beautiful white petals represent God surrounding His creation with His perfect love and care. As you look into the center, the yellow stem standing out in front is Jesus, leading His people. The green is the Holy Spirit living with all believers, guiding us each day. The little yellow flowers are us - All of God's children who have heard His Word and believe.
