Rest...frankly, it is something that is very difficult for me to do. My mind is always telling my body that there is so much more I should be doing, so many more emails to answer, so many more phone calls to respond to, so many more people to serve, so many friends who haven't heard from me lately. Rest...some people are much better at it than others. Rest...something our minds and bodies need in order to function at a maximum capacity. Rest... elusive as it may be, we must! We must rest in order to be restored! And what better way to rest, than in our Savior's loving grace and embrace. When this very brief two-minute video was shared with me, I thought, yeah, yeah, I know I need to rest! But when I watched and listened, I heard a beautiful reminder that rest comes not from stopping, but rest comes by being- being in the presence of Jesus. OK - that was a wake-up call! Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28). Please take a couple moments and watch this brief video from Lutheran Hour Speaker Rev. Dr. Michael Ziegler. Then take a few more moments to REST and find rest for your souls (Matt. 11:29) and peace in Christ's presence!

Rest
