For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.  -2 Chronicles 20:12 This passage from 2 Chronicles is the prayer of Jehoshaphat, king of Israel, as he and his people are facing the advancing enemies.   So fitting for this time, isn't it? We don't know what to do... Jehoshaphat confessed that he did not have the answer in the dire circumstance they were in (sound familiar?), but he knew that their only answer was to trust in God. ...but OUR eyes are on you. OUR eyes. Not just you. Not just me. We can take great comfort in knowing that WE, as a people of God, can come together during this time and look to God for help. There is great strength in knowing we are not alone as we face an unknown future. ...our eyes are on YOU. YOU, Lord. Our eyes are on You, the One who promises to never leave us or forsake us. What comfort there is in knowing this! Dear Lord, We are facing uncertainty in this world. At many points in our days, we don't know what to do. Help us to daily fix our eyes on You, the one who sacrificed your life for our salvation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
