Daily Dose 4/16/2020

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us... -Ephesians 3:20 NIV

We will always remember Easter 2020. For the first time ever, our family attended our church's Easter sunrise service--at 11:00 am! It was beautiful--and we got lots of sleep! We then caught some of the traditional service to hear those Easter hymns we long to sing each year, as well as parts of the awesome contemporary service. In addition, our kids watched an Easter video from another PSD church's kids program. All of this happened within a couple of hours. This is something we never would've been able to experience in one Easter morning in person! 


Was it a different Easter Sunday? Definitely. Did we miss singing together as a congregation? Oh yes. Did we miss hugging our friends and family? Yes and yes. But it was so beautifully different. God is moving in amazing ways through this pandemic--and He's moving through you. You, our churches and schools, are rising to these new challenges and circumstances with creativity, new ideas, and new energy. Your Easter church services were viewed by longtime members and first-time viewers alike. Your class prayers, your Bible lessons, your chapels...you don't just have an audience of students, but you have an audience of entire families! What an opportunity...what a witness! God is doing such good work in you and through you. 


Thank you, Lord, for the special moments and opportunities you are providing us through these challenging times. Thank you for doing immeasurably more in our hearts and minds, and immeasurably more in our students' and families' hearts and minds, than all we ask or imagine.
