“The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food at the proper time.  You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.”   Psalm 145: 15-16

This psalm is certainly not on the minds of all the folks lined up outside the local Costco or grocery store, waiting to get in.  The psalmist was not just speaking of food, but of all the blessings we receive each day from God.  When times are troubling, we have the reminder that when we ask, God reaches His hand out to us each day and knows what we need.  We can depend on His promises to be with us in all things.

Thank you, God, for our food and all the blessings you provide.  Help us not to be fearful in the days to come or in our lives each day.  Our trust is in You, the provider of all things.  We pray for guidance in the decisions we make, and the decisions made by our congregations and schools and ask for your continual blessings for your people, and for those who do not know you.  We give thanks in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord.  Amen.

The Sunday (3/15/20) morning clouds parted ever so briefly, and the beautiful sunlight rays had a message for us…

Draw your eyes upward to the cloud formation that reminds us of Jesus and His promise of being our Light even when things are dark.

Then, let your eyes move down the picture to the cement, and discover the shadow of a cross on the ground.
