Practical Strategies for Implementing SEL In Everyday Curriculum
This Full Day Professional Development Workshop takes a look at defining SEL (Social Emotional Learning) and discovering the importance of intentionally integrating it into everyday curriculum. Incorporating SEL into the classroom will open the doors for deeper educational and academic experiences while at the same time encourage and equip students to live out Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will”.
Teachers will learn how to:
-
define SEL and its components
-
infuse SEL into whole-class lessons
-
implement practices to create an environment that supports every child
-
increase student-to-student relationships and well-being
