Summer attendance and financials
How are you keeping enrollment up during the summer. Do you save spaces for families that take vacations? Do you ask them to pay to keep their spot? Please share with me who you handle your summer months.
Blessings,
Marsha MacIntyre

Dear Marsha, 101219 in Title 22 requires giving 30 day written notice for any rate change (Manual of Policies and Procedures (ca.gov)) My schools were always a traditional school year plus a summer program. Parents received new tuition agreements in January to sign up for the next school year with the new rates and summer sign ups in March. We also had sign ups for Easter/Christmas/Thanksgiving camps with separate agreements. We put them in the child's folder to go home, emailed them, sent them out in our newsletter as a link, put them on the online enrollment form, and put them on the website. I would also follow up with families if we didn't receive them back because I was not reserving their spot for the next year or the summer without the signed agreement. I always put a cover letter with them. I'll send you samples via email.
Blessings, Mary
